摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration device and a regeneration method for a storage battery with which a storage battery whose performance has been deteriorated can be regenerated in a shorter time than conventional technologies. <P>SOLUTION: A method is provided for regenerating a deteriorated storage battery by applying a regeneration current composed of a rectangular charging current and a pulse current to the storage battery. In the method, until the voltage across the storage battery reaches a predetermined ratio on the basis of its rating voltage and until the specific gravity value of the storage battery reaches a predetermined value, the frequency of the pulse current of a predetermined current value is decreased gradually and periodically, and the regeneration current obtained by adding the pulse current to the rectangular charging current of a predetermined current value is applied to the deteriorated storage battery, and the current value of the regeneration current is decreased in synchronization with the period with which the frequency of the pulse current is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
