<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seat for a vehicle capable of effectively suppressing occurrence of a submarine phenomenon, while both securing comfortable sitting feeling and cost reduction are attained. <P>SOLUTION: In the seat 10 for a vehicle, a deformation regulation member 40 at front collision time, which consists of material with dilatant characteristics is arranged in a front side section of the vehicle from a hip point HP of an occupant 14 in a seat cushion 16. When a load (shock) from the occupant 14 is applied to the deformation regulation member 40 at front collision time at the front collision time of the vehicle, the deformation regulation member 40 at front collision time is immediately hardened. Thereby, a hip of the occupant 14 is supported by the hardened deformation regulation member 40 at front collision time, and occurrence of the submarine phenomenon is prevented or suppressed. Since a material with dilatant characteristics is usually flexible, excellent sitting feeling of the occupant 14 is secured, even if the submarine phenomenon is effectively suppressed by arranging the deformation regulation member 40 at front collision time in closer position to the occupant 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
