PURPOSE: A tower support cap welding apparatus and method are provided to implement automatic welding using a robot, thereby reducing man power and protecting workers from musculoskeletal disorders. CONSTITUTION: A tower support cap welding apparatus comprises a positioner(10) which changes the posture of a tower support cap(99) set thereon, a welding robot(20) which welds the tower support cap set on the positioner, and a guide rail(30) which supports the positioner to freely move back and forth along the guide rail with respect to the welding robot.
