CAVITY DRYING SYSTEM OF BALL VALVE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry more efficiently the inside of a cavity formed between the outer peripheral surface of a ball valve body and the inner peripheral surface of a valve body in a ball valve.

SOLUTION: When drying a ball valve 2 equipped with a ball valve body 64 having a through hole 63 attached rotatably in the flow path of a valve body 61 and a cavity 3 provided between the outer peripheral surface of the ball valve body 64 and the inner peripheral surface of the valve body 61 by a pair of seal mechanisms 65 pressure welded from the both sides of axial direction of the flow path 62 to the ball valve body 64, gas is sucked in so that the inside pressure of the cavity 3 falls below an atmospheric pressure while the cavity 3 and the flow path 62 are blocked off.
