1282347 5-Alkylidene norbornenes HITACHI CHEMICAL CO Ltd 29 April 1970 [30 April 1969] 20641/70 Heading C5E 5-Alkylidene norbornenes are obtained by isomerizing corresponding 5-alkenyl norbornenes by contact with a catalyst mixture comprising (a) LiH, NaH or KH, and (b) dimethylsulphoxide or an aliphatic amine. Suitable amines are ethylenediamine and triethylenetetramine. The examples all relate to the production of 5- ethylidene norbornene.
