The present invention relates to a method and a device for driving a liquid crystal panel of a dot inversion system for touch detection or the like, and the driving method in accordance with the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) generating an alternating signal; (b) applying the alternating signal to a gamma voltage generation unit (72) and a common voltage generation unit (73); (c) applying an alternating common voltage, which is generated from the common voltage generation unit (73), to a common electrode (220); and (d) generating a data voltage having an inverted polarity according to the common voltage in the gamma voltage generation unit (72). According to said method, the common voltage is alternated in the dot inversion system and the data voltage is inverted according to the alternating common voltage, whereby touch detection or the like can be performed by using the alternating common voltage even in a high-quality LCD. |
