An image forming apparatus is provided that includes a display, a memory storing a plurality of functions in such a manner that associates the functions each with one of a plurality of categories, and a controller for causing the display to array and display objects representing respective functions that are a part of a plurality of functions. In response to a command to change the displayed objects, the controller changes the displayed objects on category basis.
