<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thickness unevenness caused by a mark such as an index when forming it on printed matters. <P>SOLUTION: When print information is input for printing an identification mark in a predetermined region of a page, an image forming device divides the predetermined region into a mark region 1202 for printing the identification mark and a non-mark region 1203 for not printing the identification mark, and generates mark arrangement information for arranging the identification mark in such a manner that the mark region and the non-mark region correspond with each other between opposing pages which lie next to each other.
