<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint in which depth of each guide groove can be adjusted in a good balance and an allowable load torque can be increased. <P>SOLUTION: The universal joint includes: an outer joint member 7; an inner joint member 10; three cages 12A, 12B, 12C interposed between the inner joint member 10 and the outer joint member 7; and balls 11A, 11B, 11C held in windows 13, 14, 15 of the respective cages 12A, 12B, 12C. The curvature center of a guide groove 9 of the inner joint member 10 and the curvature center of a guide groove 19 of an intermediate cage 12B are equidistantly offset with respect to the center line X of the joint shaft in directions opposite from each other. The curvature center of a guide groove 17 of the inner cage 12A and the curvature center of a guide groove 23 of the outer cage 12C are equidistantly offset with respect to the center line X of the joint shaft in directions opposite from each other. A guide groove 21 of the intermediate cage 12B and a guide groove 6 of the outer joint member 7 are equidistantly offset with respect to the center line of the joint shaft in directions radially opposite from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
