The head massage unit (12) comprises: massagers (81a-81d) driven in at least the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the output shafts (56) by the output shafts (56), the massagers (81a-81d) exhibiting flexibility and having massage projections (83) for stimulating the scalp of the user when the massagers (81a-81d) are driven; a head base unit (62) for supporting the massagers (81a-81d), the head base unit (62) being more rigid than the massagers (81a-81d) and being made detachable from the main body housing (13); and an engaging unit (67) and connecting member (68) serving as restricting means for restricting the axial movement of the massagers (81a-81d) relative to the head base unit (62).</p>
