<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for displaying supervisory video images without interruption thereof, by decoding coded video image information imaged by a plurality of supervisory camera devices, using video image decoding devices fewer than the supervisory camera devices. <P>SOLUTION: The video image decoding devices are installed with the number of the devices determined by adding 1 to a round-up integer value of a value calculated, as the number of seconds of decoding processing per the number of seconds of display switching, and the image information coded after imaged by the plurality of supervisory camera devices is decoded in the number of seconds of decoding processing. A video image switcher switches and outputs the decoded video image signals at display switchover intervals. A control device sends a reception control signal to each video image decoding device so that coded video image signals sent from the plurality of video image coding devices are received by the video image decoding devices in a cyclic manner at the display switchover intervals. The control device also sends an output control signal to the video image switcher so that the video image signals successively decoded by the video image decoding devices are displayed on a display device at the display switchover intervals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
