A composition comprising at least one peracid comprising at least one monopercarboxylic acid and at least one ester percarboxylic acid and a quaternary ammonium salt of the formula : [R1R2R3R4Nm+]n Xx p- Yy q- wherein : R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently, optionally substituted, alkyl, aryl or alkoxy groups; m * n = (x * p) + (y * q); m and n are independently equal to 1 or 2; x and y are integers or non integers and are independently from 0 to 2; x+y is at least 1; at least one of Xp- and Yq- is R5-COO-, and R5 contains from 0 to 5 carbon atoms.
