<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of easily achieving synchronization between an oscillation pulse of a laser beam and modulation of the laser beam with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device 100 that records information in an optical recording medium 21 includes: a mode-locking laser unit 11 including a semiconductor laser 1 and an external resonator; optical modulation means 12 that amplifies and modulates a laser beam emitted from the mode-locking laser unit 11; a record signal generating unit 16 that generates a record signal based on a reference signal DRIVECLK from a drive of the optical recording medium 21; and a modulation unit 14 that latches the record signal by a laser clock LDCLK generated by an oscillation pulse of the laser beam emitted from the mode-locking laser unit 11 and generates a modulation signal for driving the optical modulation means 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
