<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for properly determining whether idle stop can be implemented or not, based on a traffic condition around a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A first condition determining part 13 of an idle stop control device 1 determines whether a first condition on a factor of a vehicle for enabling idle stop is established or not (a first condition flag is output), by use of a state of the vehicle specified from each of sensors of the vehicle as a determining element. A second condition determining part 15 determines whether a second condition on a factor caused by a surrounding vehicle for enabling idle stop is established or not (a second condition flag is output), by use od a state of the surrounding vehicle indicated by surrounding vehicle data acquired by inter-vehicle communication as a determining element. An IS command output part 17 issues an instruction for the idle stop to an engine control part 28 on condition that both the first and second conditions are established based on an output result of the first condition flag and the second condition flag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
