<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device which makes it possible to heighten a capacity maintenance rate in those which contain silicon. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage device of the present invention includes a cathode, an anode, and an ion conduction medium interposed between the cathode and anode. At least one of the cathode and the anode includes an active material which has plate-like silicon stuck to the surfaces of carbon particles. This silicon should preferably be the one which is derived from layer-shaped polysilane. The carbon particles should preferably be those which are derived from sucrose. Such an active material can be obtained, for example, by burning a mixture of sucrose and layer-shaped polysilane. In this case, sucrose and layer-shaped polysilane should preferably be 1/1 to 4/1, both ends inclusive, in a weight ratio of sucrose to layer-shaped polysilane, and should be burned preferably at 200°C to 1000°C, both ends inclusive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
