NEW ETHANOL-PRODUCING YEAST

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ethanol-producing yeast allowing efficient fermentative production of ethanol even under temperature conditions of ≥35°C, and the fermentative production of the ethanol even from a raw material conventionally regarded as unsuitable as a fermentation raw material, and to provide a method for producing industrial ethanol etc., using the yeast.

SOLUTION: The ethanol is produced by the fermentation of waste molasses etc., as the raw material with Saccharomyces cerevisiae MY17 strain (NITE P-893) which is the new ethanol-producing yeast or a transformant using the strain as a parent strain at a temperature of ≥35°C.
