摘要 PURPOSE:To selectively and efficiently produce an aldol type alcohol derivative and other various oxygen-containing compounds by using tris(pentafluorophenyl) borane as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:An enol silyl ether derivative of formula II [R<1> to R<3> are H, 1-20C hydrocarbon group; the underlined Si is group of formula III (R<4> to R<6> are 1-20C hydrocarbon group)] is reacted with a carbonyl compound of formula IV (R<7>, R<8> are H, 1-30C hydrocarbon group) in the presence of tris(fluorophenyl) borane of formula I as a catalyst to obtain a silyl ether of an aldol type alcohol derivative of formula V. The compound is treated with an acid or fluoride ion to obtain an aldol type alcohol derivative of formula VI. The reaction of an alpha,beta-unsaturated compound of formula VII (R<9>, R<10> are the same as R<7>, R<8>) instead of the compound of formula IV in the above-mentioned reaction gives a 1,4-dicarbonyl compound of formula VIII through the corresponding enol silyl ether, and the employment of a compound of formula VII in an excessive amount gives the polymer of the alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compound.
