<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clocked serial interface (CSI) capable of generating and outputting control signals with variable waveforms. <P>SOLUTION: A clocked serial interface includes: multiple shift registers for rewritably storing pattern data to determine the waveforms of control signals; and generation means for generating the control signals in accordance with the pattern data in the shift registers.
