<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the efficiency in providing and managing contents by unit by recording contents in an information recording medium by downloading, copying, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In constitution to record utilization management contents in a data recordable media such an R/RE type disk, contents certificate of each unit (CPS unit), license information, and a unit-based token including signature data based on data including media discrimination information of a content recording destination are generated, and these management data are recorded in media together with a content management unit.
