<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom-reaching material of floating larva of littleneck clam, which does not have safety problem even if installed on a beach or a nursery and improves bottom-reaching properties of floating larva of littleneck clam and a bottom-reaching method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The bottom-reaching material of floating larva of littleneck clam comprises steelmaking slag adjusted to a prescribed particle diameter. The steelmaking slag is preferably dephosphorization slag or ferromanganese slag. Preferably the dephosphorization slag is adjusted to 0.85-4.75 mm and the ferromanganese slag is adjusted to 0.85-2 mm.
