The brake (10) has a wheel hub (12) at which a wheel of a motor vehicle is attached. A friction ring (14) i.e. brake ring, is connected with the wheel hub in a direction by a safety element (22), which is accommodated in an accommodation opening (24) of the friction ring and in an accommodation opening (26) of the wheel hub. The friction ring and the wheel hub are connected together in a circumferential direction by the safety element, which transfers torque between the friction ring and the wheel hub. A sleeve (28) is sectionally accommodated in the wheel hub for fixing the safety element.
