<p>Equal parts of 2 constituents are mixed after separate replastification and before polymsn. (i) the first part being a polysiloxane having a Shore A hardness of 59, a Bashore resilience of 32 and a continuous temp resistance at 175 degrees C after a separate polymsn. (ii) the second being a dimethylvinylpolysiloxane having valves 41.5, 49 and 250 degrees C respectively as for (i), where the catalyst is 0.2 wt % recrystallised dicumyl peroxide and the final product has 39 Shore A, 41 Bashore and a temp. resistance at 200 degrees C continuously or 250 degrees C for several hrs. Used in aerospace indst. esp. miniaturised electrical connections.</p> |
