<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing apparatus excellent particularly in high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A driving device 7 for adjusting a closing hook 2 is coupled in a driving manner to a bearing end 4 of the closing hook 2 via a coupling device 15. The bearing end 4 of the closing hook 2 is borne on the coupling device 15 in such a manner as to be turnable on a horizontal turning axis line 30 elongated in a lateral direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the closing hook 2.
