<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of suppressing fluctuation in resonant frequency even if there is a manufacturing error; and to provide an image projection device having the optical scanner. <P>SOLUTION: This optical scanner includes: a mirror section that swings about a swinging axis at a prescribed resonance frequency; beam sections supporting both ends of the mirror section; outer edge sections to which the ends of the beam sections are connected; a drive source for swinging the mirror section; mass bodies spaced from the beam section, mirror section and the outer edge sections between the mirror section and the outer edge sections; and connecting sections for connecting the mass bodies to the beam sections. The mass bodies suppress by an inertia moment generated by changes in the mass bodies by a prescribed width, the fluctuation in the resonance frequency in the beam sections caused by a change in the rigidity of the beam sections generated when the width in the direction of orthogonally crossing with the swinging axis is changed by a prescribed width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
