An information processing device, and so forth, that even when a communication module has been replaced prevent fraudulent usage outside of remote management, thus improving security. To solve this problem, an information processing device is provided with a communication module which wirelessly communicates with other devices using intrinsic information contained on an electronic card; an acquisition unit which obtains the intrinsic information contained in the electronic card; a registration unit which preliminarily registers the intrinsic information obtained by the acquisition unit in a first storage unit, and in a second storage unit provided in the communication module; a determining unit which, at power-on, determines whether or not the intrinsic information registered in the first storage unit, the intrinsic information registered in the second storage unit, and the intrinsic information contained on the electronic card match; and a startup control unit which permits the device to startup when it is determined that the intrinsic information registered in the first storage unit, the intrinsic information registered in the second storage unit, and the intrinsic information contained in the electronic card match. |
