<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper attracting force from decreasing due to wear of a conveying belt in an image forming apparatus that performs printing on recording paper while attracting it by the electrified conveying belt. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a paper information storage means 41 configured to store paper information to specify a paper kind to be used for printing operation according to ambient temperature and humidity of the image forming apparatus; a paper kind determination means 44 configured to determine, based on the paper information, whether or not the paper kind designated in a printing requirement input in the image forming apparatus is the paper kind to be used at the present ambient temperature and humidity; and a paper feeding condition setting means 47 configured to set a paper feeding condition considering a sticking amount of dirt to the conveying belt when the paper kind determination means 44 determines that the designated paper kind is not the paper kind to be used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
