<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having great resistance to reduction and performing sufficiently as a conductor assistant when added to a positive electrode active material. <P>SOLUTION: The cobalt zirconium compound contains a cobalt oxyhydroxide phase and a zirconium oxide phase. The zirconium oxide phase restrains the cobalt oxyhydroxide from being reduced. The cobalt oxyhydroxide as a cobalt compound maintains the initial coexistence of the cobalt oxyhydroxide phase and the zirconium oxide phase even when a battery is used, because the cobalt oxyhydroxide of the present invention does not undergo the processes of dissolving and depositing while a cobalt hydroxide as a cobalt compound causes the cobalt hydroxide to dissolve in an electrolyte, and be oxidized during the first charging to deposit in a form of a cobalt oxyhydroxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
