<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying strap equipped with an ever-ready case which enables comfortable and sure carrying of a handheld optical instrument with quick use possibility. <P>SOLUTION: A flat first strap member (2) and a flat second strap member (3) are prepared. The strap members overlap on one end part of the strap member, and are mutually rotatably connected so that the second strap member (3) can rotate around the first strap member (2). The free ends of the first strap member (2) and the second strap member (3) can be connected using a buckle (5, 5', 5'').
