PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device in which the steering feeling is not abruptly changed, and the steering feeling is not impaired even when a steering angle or a steering angle estimation signal cannot be outputted by occurrence of abnormality. SOLUTION: A control unit 30 of the electric power steering device has a signal storage unit 52a which calculates steering information on the steering angle signal θ<SB>H</SB>detected by a steering angle sensor 15 and stores the steering angle information. When a steering angle sensor abnormality detection unit 50 detects occurrence of abnormality of the steering angle sensor 15, a motor 20 is controlled to be continuously operated based on steering angle information immediately before the occurrence of abnormality recorded in the signal recording unit 52a, and the motor angle signal θ<SB>M</SB>.
