The present invention relates to novel oligomers and polymers and the various methods of obtaining them from monomers derived from 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol, to the method of preparing these monomers, and to novel intermediate dimer compounds and to the preparation method thereof. The present invention also targets the applications of these polymer materials to the formation by extrusion, extrusion-blow moulding, or injection moulding or compression moulding, and to the coating of supports.
