<p>The device has an enclosed space formed of left and right retaining walls (4a, 4b) with upper parts connected together by connection units (7). The walls are formed of left and right lateral retaining members with a length adjusting unit to allow adaptation of a volume of the space by a preset volume. Each member is formed of an inner strap made of plastics material and mounted pivotably on a snowshoe (1) via a lower end and an upper end (13) that includes a control loop (14) in which a textile strap portion is engaged.
