<p>A slide-fastener stringer, especially a slide-fastener stringer half, is formed by stitching individually the turns of an endless coupling element to a support tape with a chain stitch, each stitch being produced as each turn of the coupling element is formed. The chain stitches may secure the shanks of the coupling members to the tape and may lie wholly shielded by shanks which are not engaged by the stitches.</p> |
