METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING PACKET IN WIRELESS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A packet transmitting device in a wireless network and a method thereof are provided to reduce the frequency of using real time data packets which are not transmitted within a fixed period of time. CONSTITUTION: A delay time calculating unit(100) calculates predicted delay time to a destination based on a hop number and channel access time for transmitting a received packet to the destination. A packet processing unit(110) discards the received packet or inserts the received packet to a transmission queue by comparing the predicted delay time with a preset allowable value.
