PURPOSE: A multimedia device and a content providing method thereof are provided to enable a user to intrinsically access more content and classify and manage the content by each category. CONSTITUTION: At least one flag is generated on a screen(S410). Categories are set in at least one flag respectively(S420). An attribute of at least one flag is edited(S430). If one flag moves to specific content displayed on the screen, the specific content is set as a category corresponding to one flag(S440~S480). The attribute of the flag is at least one of a name or a color corresponding to each category.
