PURPOSE: A composition for preventing or treating cancer or HIV is provided to prevent and/or cancer, HIV infectious diseases, or HIV dementia and to suppress AKT activation and/or PI3K. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating HIV infectious diseases, AIDS, HIV dementia, or HIV neural cell injury contains lancemacide A, lancemacide X, echinocystic acid 3-O-beta-D-glucuronopyranoside, or echinocystic acid as an active ingredient. The diseases are prevented or treated by AKT activation suppression or GSK3 beta activation. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer contains lancemacide A, echinocystic acid 3-O-beta-D-glucuronopyranoside, or echinocystic acid as an active ingredient.
