PURPOSE: An NFC type mobile communication terminal and a control method thereof are provided to automatically switch a card mode into a reader mode in an active tag and the mobile communication terminal which enable NFC. CONSTITUTION: An NFC(Near Field Communication) antenna(11) receives an NFC type data signal transmitted from an active tag. An NFC controller(12) forms a session with the active tag. The NFC controller receives the data signal through the NFC antenna. A function controller(13) receives the data signal from the NFC controller. The function controller analyzes the data signal. A terminal controller(14) executes at least one function of a mobile communication terminal.
