<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method useful for detecting heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) in an object suspected of having the HIT. <P>SOLUTION: A sample is brought into contact with particles compounded with a platelet factor 4 (PF4), the PF4 compounded with the particles specifically reacts to a heparin/platelet factor 4 antibody, the sample/particle mixture is passed through a filter, and then a color of filtrate is analyzed.
