<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure screen unit for closing a tissue portion separation such as an incision and a wound, and an attaching system and method. <P>SOLUTION: The medical closure screen unit 2 for first and second tissue portions includes a mesh screen 14 composed of: tubular vertical risers 26; vertical strands 30 with barbed fibers; and horizontal spacers 28 connecting the risers 26 and strands 30 in a grid-like configuration. An optional perimeter member 16 partly surrounds the screen and can have a perimeter tube 35 which is fluid-coupled to the vertical risers 26 to form a tube assembly. Various input/out units can be optionally connected to the end of the perimeter tube 35 to carry out discharge of a fluid from the tissue portion separation by means of an exhaust tube and introduction of the fluid into the tube assembly by means of irrigation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
