<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elliptically polarizing plate set and a stereoscopic image display system, which hardly cause change with time such as color unevenness in a stereoscopic image viewed by a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: An elliptically polarizing plate set is used for a stereoscopic image display system 1 including an image display device 2 having a display cell 11, and a pair of glasses 3 into which an image output from the image display device 2 is made incident so that the image is transmitted to both eyes. The elliptically polarizing plate set includes a display-side elliptically polarizing plate 20 arranged on a viewer side of the display cell 11 in the image display device 2, and glasses-side elliptically polarizing plates 40 and 50 arranged on an incident side of the glasses 3. In the display-side elliptically polarizing plate 20, at least a 1/4-wavelength plate 23 and a polarizing film 21 are laminated. In the glasses-side elliptically polarizing plates 40 and 50, at least 1/4-wavelength plates 43 and 53 and polarizing films 41 and 51 are laminated, respectively. The 1/4-wavelength plate 23 and the 1/4-wavelength plates 43 and 53 are made of an olefin resin and have approximately the same change with time of an in-plane phase difference value when receiving the same thermal history. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
