<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable magnetic flux drive system for driving a variable magnetic flux motor capable of improving variable magnet flux repetition accuracy and torque accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The variable magnetic flux drive system comprises a permanent magnet motor 1 which uses a permanent magnet, an inverter 4 which drives the permanent magnet motor, and magnetization means which flows magnetization current for controlling a permanent magnet flux. The permanent magnet is a variable magnet whose flux density can be made variable by magnetization current from the inverter 4.
