GAS ANALYZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas analyzer capable of measuring a density of a specific constituent such as ethanol and the like at low cost.

SOLUTION: A gas analyzer 1 comprises: a measurement section 3 to obtain absorption intensity of a gas sample by irradiating the gas sample containing a specific constituent with terahertz wave; and an analysis section 5 to calculate a density of the specific constituent based on the absorption intensity. The terahertz wave is preferably in a frequency region which allows the absorption intensity of the specific constituent contained in the sample gas to be larger than the absorption intensity of a background constituent contained in the sample gas and allows an absorption spectrum of the background constituent to have a flat shape.
