METAL NANOWIRE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metal nanowire in a large area by extrusion processing without the need of troublesome operations.

SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the metal nanowire, by pressing a nozzle having the array of pores whose opening diameters are 10 nm to 50 μm to a metallic material and extruding a metal from the opening of the nozzle, the metal nanowire whose aspect ratio is ≥1 for instance is formed. It is preferable that the metal is extruded from the opening under a temperature condition of being equal to or higher than a softening point thereof and being equal to or lower than a melting point thereof.
