<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading stand which enables a user to read in a supine posture as well as in a posture with the upper part of the body propped up and in which a bookrest is allowed to be detached from the reading stand and is used as an independent bookrest directly, while a conventional reading stand is usually configured to have a bookrest and a stand for holding the bookrest integrated as one unit. <P>SOLUTION: In nearly the center of the rear side of the bookrest, a holder is installed having a mounting hole in the left/right direction of the bookrest. A U-shaped stand having a circular cross section and formed of a perpendicular portion connecting a parallel portion A and a parallel portion B, is formed. The parallel portion A of the U-shaped stand is inserted into the mounting hole of the holder and the bookrest is made to obliquely stand up on a desk using a lower part of the bookrest and the parallel portion B of the U-shaped stand. The parallel portion B of the U-shaped stand is made longer than the parallel portion A and is inserted into the mounting hole of the holder. An end of the parallel portion B is protruded to the side of the bookrest and is clamped with the arm of the stand arranged in the front of the bookrest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
