FIELD: testing of power equipment. SUBSTANCE: in order to maintain the reliability of a thyristor converter at a required level and to reveal timely faulty thyristors used in the converter, device predicts the time of failure for thyristors having hidden flaws. EFFECT: improved design excluding turning of the converter as a whole on a special test mode.
