<p>PURPOSE: A prismatic airtight secondary battery is provided to lower resistance between current collection member and core body exposing unit and control deviation of output and deviation of welding strength. CONSTITUTION: A prismatic airtight secondary battery comprises an anode core body exposing unit(14) of an electrode assembly(11), a cathode core body exposing unit(15), intermediate members(24,25) of resin materials which keep at least one of conductive elements for connection(24A,25A). At least one of the anode core body exposing unit and the cathode core body exposing unit is divided into 2 parts, and the conductive elements for connection are arranged in the interval between the anode core body exposing unit and/or the cathode core body exposing unit. The core body exposing unit which is divided into 2 parts and at least one of the conductive materials for connection are electrically welded by using resistance welding method. A resin material part(24P) of the intermediate member is protruded towards a prismatic exterior can(12) side from extension direction of the core body exposing unit.</p> |
