PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and an image forming method are provided to recognize an image forming apparatus as a printer device if the image forming apparatus is connected to a terminal device. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface unit(110) enables a printing control terminal device to recognize an image forming apparatus as a printer device. A determining unit(140) determines whether a printer driver of the image forming apparatus is installed in the printing control terminal device. A controlling unit(160) controls the communication interface unit in order to receive the generated printing data.
