PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To understand the distribution state of hydrophilic group of electrolyte in the reaction layer of a fuel cell.
SOLUTION: A nitric acid group is bonded to a hydrophilic group (sulfone group) contained in the reaction layer of a fuel cell, and metal ions which can form a nitrosyl complex with the nitric acid group, e.g. ruthenium ions, are introduced into the reaction layer where the nitric acid group bonded to the hydrophilic group in the reaction layer is stained. When the hydrophilic group are aggregated, the nitric acid group bonded thereto are also aggregated and when the nitric acid group is stained by ruthenium, the ruthenium also aggregates and can be observed by an electron microscope.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
