<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer with a cutter mechanism, which can be restored easily and safely when paper jam occurs. <P>SOLUTION: In the printer provided with a body unit having a thermal head energized by a spring and rotatably held, and an opening/closing unit holding a platen fixed rotatably to the body unit, the cutter mechanism of the this embodiment comprises a stationary blade unit having a stationary blade which is attached to either of the body unit or the opening/closing unit, and a movable blade unit having a movable blade cutting in cooperation with the stationary blade which is attached to the other of the body unit or the opening/closing unit where the stationary blade and the movable blade are made to retreat to a position not touching a user when the opening/closing unit opens, and the stationary blade is fixed to a position capable of cutting by the movable blade when the unit closes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
