<p>[Problem] To provide a treatment planning method whereby a treatment plan, to which a modified microdosimetric kinetic model (MKM) is applied, can be derived within a short period of time. [Solution] A treatment planning method which comprises using a modified MKM, i.e., a MKM having been modified for fitting to heavy particle beams, calculating a clinical dose that is expressed as a product of an absorption dose showing absorbed radiation energy and a relative biological effectiveness showing the extent of an effect of radiation on a living organism, and deriving a treatment plan by a three-dimensional spot scanning method with the use of the aforesaid clinical dose. Said treatment planning method involves: a weighted mean calculation step (S5) for calculating a dose-weighted mean of a saturation corrected dose-mean relative energy provided by multiple pencil beams affecting a position to be focused; a relative biological effectiveness calculation step (S6) for calculating the relative biological effectiveness on the basis of the dose-weighted mean of the saturation corrected dose-mean relative energy that is calculated above; and a clinical dose calculation step (S7) for calculating the clinical dose on the basis of the relative biological effectiveness that is calculated above.</p> |
