The hem support (1) is formed as a clamp and has two shanks, which generate holding effect in the area of their free ends. The holding force of the hem support is defined from the ratio of leg height to leg width in even surface area. One of the shanks comprises a magnet and the other shank is partially formed as a metal piece. The magnet is a neodymium magnet and has a nickel-copper-nickel coating. The clamping shanks (5) are made of a metal, an alloy or plastic, where the metal is selected from steel, particularly spring steel or precious metal and the alloy is selected from brass.
